About Dr. Penhollow
Tammy Penhollow, DO, is an experienced pain management and regenerative medicine specialist practicing at Precision Regenerative Medicine, located in Scottsdale, Arizona. She is skilled in image-guided joint and spine injections and regenerative aesthetic procedures.
Dr. Penhollow graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (now known as AT Still University). She completed her transitional year internship at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington, and began her US Navy career deployed to Kosovo as the solo physician for a 720 person US Naval Mobile Construction Battalion.
Following that, she completed a second General Medical Officer assignment for three years as an instructor for the Navy’s Independent Duty Corpsman school, where she taught physical diagnosis and medical diagnosis and treatment to the Navy’s advanced corpsmen who were assigned to forward deployed marine units, submarines and special forces units.
She then completed an anesthesiology residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center/National Naval Medical Center, and did her fellowship in Pain Medicine at Stanford School of Medicine. She is board certified in both anesthesiology and pain medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology, and possesses advanced musculoskeletal knowledge and advanced injection skills.
After her medical training, she was a staff Anesthesiologist at US Naval Hospitals in Okinawa, Japan and Rota, Spain. At both hospitals, she established and ran a chronic pain clinic in addition to serving as an Anesthesiologist. She was also deployed as an Anesthesiologist to Djibouti, Africa in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
She is board certified by the American Society of Anesthesiologists in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. She possesses advanced musculoskeletal knowledge and is highly trained and skilled at ultrasound and fluoroscopy guided spine, joint, and soft tissue injections as well as in aesthetic procedures. Her passion is regenerative medicine and whole-body wellness.
Dr. Penhollow has been performing fluoroscopy-guided injections since 2004 and ultrasound-guided injections since 2011.
